2. Panel: Hisense 55 Inch TV Under 30000
Type of the Panel:
The Hisense TV features an 8-bit FRC VA DLED panel, which is one of the best panels in 2024. At the heart of the Hisense E6N 55 inch TV is its 4K Ultra HD display, which delivers a 3840 x 2160 pixels resolution. This high resolution ensures that images are incredibly sharp and detailed, allowing you to see every nuance in your favourite movies, TV shows, and games.
This TV under 30000, uses a Direct LED backlighting system, providing uniform brightness across the screen. This technology helps achieve deeper blacks and brighter whites, creating a more dynamic and lifelike picture quality. The wide colour gamut ensures that colours are rendered accurately, with rich and natural hues that enhance the viewing experience.
Peak HDR Brightness:
Higher peak brightness allows HDR content to shine with more vivid highlights and improved contrast, making bright scenes more dazzling and dark scenes more detailed. With a peak brightness of around 300 nits, the Hisense E6N 55 inch TV can noticeably improve HDR picture quality compared to standard SDR content. Additionally, 300 NITS is the sustained brightness of this TV; it can peak up to 400 NITS easily if it is required in the panel and the content.
We also found that the TV’s predecessor model (E7K) did not have such good brightness. The enhanced brightness levels contribute to more accurate and vivid colours. Combined with a wide colour gamut, this results in richer, lifelike colours that make the viewing experience more immersive.
3. Contrast: Hisense 55 Inch TV
Because it is a VA panel, you need good contrast and brightness. When we checked the contrast ratio of this Hisense TV, it came out to be 4000:1. You should know that the contrast of the TV is a critical component of overall picture quality. They affect how well a TV can display details in dark scenes and how vibrant the colours appear in comparison.
Local Dimming:
Local dimming enhances contrast by dimming specific areas of the backlight where the screen displays dark content. While the Hisense 55 inch TV uses Direct LED backlighting, it does not feature advanced local dimming capabilities found in more expensive models. However, it still produces reasonable contrast through its panel technology and HDR capabilities.
HDR Support:
Including HDR10 and HLG formats boosts the contrast performance. HDR content benefits from better highlights and deeper blacks, making scenes more detailed and realistic.
Contrast Ratio:
The contrast ratio is the difference between the darkest black and the brightest white a TV can display. The Hisense E6N 55 inch TV offers a surprising contrast ratio of 4000:1 for an LED TV in its price range. With this contrast ratio, you can see the variation in blacks, whites, and greys.
This allows it to provide good differentiation between light and dark areas on the screen, making images look more dynamic and lifelike.
Blacks and Variations in Its Levels
Black levels refer to the depth and purity of the black colour on the screen. The Hisense TV under 30000, with its Direct LED backlighting, provides relatively deep blacks, though not as deep as those produced by OLED TVs. The black levels are good enough to ensure that dark scenes in movies and TV shows have sufficient detail and depth.
Uniformity:
The Hisense E6N 55 inch TV shows good uniformity, with minimal variance in black levels across different parts of the screen. However, the grey uniformity was not up to the mark in our testing, which is fine as we cannot expect everything under this price range.
Shadow Detail:
The ability to render details in shadows is crucial for a good viewing experience. The Hisense TV does a commendable job of displaying shadow details due to its HDR capabilities and decent contrast ratio. This means you can see finer details in dark scenes, which is especially beneficial for movies and TV shows with complex lighting.
4. Colours and Saturations
Colour performance is a crucial aspect of any TV, impacting how vibrant and lifelike the images appear. The Hisense E6N 55 inch TV delivers impressive colour performance through a combination of technology and features designed to enhance colour saturation and depth.
Saturation:
We found that the blue was oversaturated, making the images appear unnatural and overly vibrant. This can distract the viewer from the viewing experience, especially in the scenes where natural colour balance is important. This Hisense TV is a little brighter, which is why the picture quality will look punchy and vivid.
Depth:
The enhanced colour depth means subtle colour variations can be displayed more accurately. This is particularly noticeable in scenes with complex lighting and shading, where the Hisense 55 inch TV can display a wide range of tones and hues, adding depth to the image.
5. Picture Quality: Hisense E6N 55 Inch TV
In our testing of this Hisense 55 inch TV, we were surprised and happy with the picture quality. It is far better than its predecessor, as it has a good dynamic range, but you could also witness banding in the picture quality.
We saw an improvement of 90% compared to the last Hisense TV model, which is highly appreciable.
Dynamic Range:
The Hisense TV’s dynamic range, which contrasts the darkest and brightest parts of an image, is impressive. This enhances the contrast and brightness levels, allowing more detail in both dark and bright scenes.
Viewing Angles:
The TV’s viewing angle is not that great, as it has a VA panel. If you watch the TV from extreme side angles, you can experience 25%- 30% colour and brightness loss.
Motion Blur:
This Hisense E6N 55 inch TV’s motion blur is very controlled, so you will thoroughly enjoy watching fast-paced scenes or sports. You get Low-Latency MEMC, so you don’t have any problems related to motion blur. Additionally, the TV automatically goes into sports mode while you watch sports, which is incredible.
Banding:
This Hisense TV model has a very minute level of banding; it is not like we did not find any banding, but it was not as prominent as its previous model. In the TVs of this range, a little banding is common.
Colour Gamut:
Hisense E6N supports a wide colour gamut, implying that it can reproduce a broader spectrum of colours. This is particularly beneficial for viewing HDR content, where a wider colour range is required for a realistic and impressive experience.
If we look at the Hisense TV’s colour gamut, you get 100% sRGB, but at the same time, you witness 78% DCI P3. This means that there is oversaturation in the colour graph.
6. Software & Hardware: Hisense TV 55 Inch Price
Operating System:
Google OS is available on the Hisense TV, which provides a clean, intuitive, and user-friendly interface. The OS is designed to integrate streaming services, live TV, and apps into a cohesive experience. With built-in Google Assistant, users can control the Hisense 55 inch TV and other smart home devices using voice commands. You get app availability, i.e., access to a wide range of apps via the Google Play Store, including popular streaming services like Netflix, Prime Videos, etc. You may also get Apple Airplay support on this TV.
You see all the app tiles on the home screen itself, and you also get suggestions based on your past history. Google TV OS offers personalised content recommendations based on your viewing habits, making discovering new shows and movies easier. Download your favourite application from the Google Play Store.
Connectivity Inputs:
This TV has 3 HDMI ports, one of which is the HDMI 2.1 eARC port, which you can use to connect your soundbar or gaming console. Further, you get 2 USB ports to connect USB drives, external hard drives, or other USB peripherals. This TV under 30000 comes with Bluetooth 5.2v and dual-band Wi-Fi. Therefore, you’ll never face any problem with this TV as far as connectivity is concerned.
“There is nothing new about the OS, but it is very light and optimised. This implies that you’ll get proper functionality in all the apps.”
7. HDR: Hisense E6N 55 Inch TV
Prime Video:
We tested HDR 10’s performance on Prime Video, and the outcome is great and improved over last year’s Hisense TV model. Overall, improving from the predecessor model means that they offer better dynamics and more details in the content. The contrast and brightness are good, so you can enjoy the picture quality better.
Hotstar:
After the update, the Hisense TV supports 4K video. The Dolby Vision content on Hotstar is mind-blowing.
Netflix:
When you stream Netflix, you also get the support of Dolby Vision, and this Hisense 55 inch TV delivers perfectly. We get the same thing as what we get in HDR 10 as it has good brightness and contrast, so we will have no complaints regarding the picture quality. It will provide a more vibrant and lifelike picture compared to SDR content.
“You need a fast and stable internet connection to watch HDR content on streaming services. Also, the HDR content may vary depending on your region and the specific streaming services.”
8. SDR: TV Under 30000
STB and Upscaling:
Talking about the SDR content, we were doubtful regarding the SD content as it has a VRR OF 60 Hz. Surprisingly, the performance of this Hisense TV was really good—better than our expectations from its SD channels. But it was impressive when we looked at its HD channels because it felt like watching 4K content and not 720p content. Additionally, it can seamlessly receive and display SDR content in standard resolutions like 480i, 480p, 720p, and 1080i. Hence, the Hisense TV is fully compatible with various STBs.
If we look at the upscaling capabilities of the Hisense smart TV, we have no complaints whatsoever. The best Hisense TV upscales SDR content from STBs to its native 4K resolution (3840 x 2160 pixels). It makes the picture look sharper, more detailed, and more immersive, even if the original source wasn’t 4K
9. GAMING: Hisense 55 Inch TV
It is a really nice TV for casual gaming. The Hisense E6N 55 inch TV offers several features that cater to gamers, although it’s not explicitly marketed as a gaming TV.
Gaming Feature:
Inputs:
The TV’s input lag is around 10-12 milliseconds, which is good enough for casual gaming. Overall, this TV is perfect for the casual gaming department.
PS5 Demo:
We played a 60 Hz game, and we enjoyed it a lot. Although this TV under 30000 lacks HDR gaming, this is totally acceptable considering its price. We connected the PS5 with the HDMI eARC port and enjoyed the gaming experience.
9. Sound: Hisense TV 55 Inch Price
The Hisense E6N 55 inch TV supports a wide range of audio formats, ensuring compatibility with various content sources and devices. These formats likely include:
30W Speakers; Dolby Audio and DTS:X Support
