Looks – Hisense A6H 4K TV 2022

Hisense A6H 4K TV 2022 is a budget TV that has a metal body with thin bezels. It comes with far-field microphones with controls in front which is good for privacy. Its plastic stands are made of good quality. The connectivity options are 1 HDMI 2.1eARC, USB, Bluetooth 5.1, and dual-band Wifi which is present in all size segments. It has a good Bluetooth and Infrared combination remote control with Netflix, Amazon Prime, Youtube, Sony Liv, Disney Hotstar, and Media. Its looks and build quality are good. All in all, you will love it.

Picture Quality – Hisense A6H 4K TV 2022

We played the same content is played on both TVs. However, it appeared different due to their different panels. Hisense A6H 43-inch and 50-inch TVs have VA panels whereas its 55-inch has an IPS panel. These panels showed different picture qualities and had different brightness. Both are good panels but they have their own cons.

Brightness – Hisense A6H 4K TV 2022

Hisense A6H 43-inch TV has 350-370 nits brightness and its 55-inch TV has 400-470 nits peak HRD brightness in 10% to 100% window. Hisense did this as more brightness is required in bigger-size TVs. The bigger the size, the more brightness is required. More LEDs are needed which can produce good colors.

Picture Profiles – Hisense A6H 4K TV 2022

43-inch VA panel and 55-inch IPS panel have different picture profiles. The difference is in both the panel and color profile. We played the same video with the same settings but it turn out that they have different color profiles. Apart from basic panel differences, their color management is different. Hisense optimizes colors differently in same-size TVs as there are different buyers. Different panels produce vibrant colors and deep blacks which is what India needs.

IPS panel doesn’t have as good blacks as a VA panel. VA panel produces awesome blacks. Their color profile is very different. The 55-inch IPS panel has a closer natural color profile whereas the 43-inch and 50-inch have vivid color profiles with more saturated and vibrant colors. The color profile can be changed without calibrating colors manually. Just change the picture profile and that is it.

Performance and Video formats –

We tested both TVs in the same modes to analyze the difference. We also checked their OTT performance. Netflix’s performance was amazing on both TVs. Dolby Vision and Dolby Atmos tags appeared as they support Dolby Vision and Dolby Atmos. Colors were good with minute detailings also appearing due to good brightness. All sizes of Hisense A6H support Dolby Vision, HLG and HDR10.

HDR10 content on Amazon Prime was Amazing with good detailing, natural colors, and optimum brightness. Less brightness means when the brightness in a TV is so low that it can’t show proper colors. This is not an issue here despite 100 nits low brightness in its 55-inch size. The TVs upscale SD content brilliantly in this 4K panel. We tested SD content with a set-top box too to answer all the audiences. SD channel performance was good but not excellent. It is like any other 4K TV. HD channel’s performance was outstanding with amazing colors and upscaling.  

Refresh Rate –

Hisense A6H 55-inch model has ALLM and 48 Hz to 60 Hz VRR. It is not that good but gamers can enjoy it. Their response time as per Hisense is 8-9 mili seconds.

Testings –

We liked Hisense A6H TVs’ performance in the Dimming test. We would rate it 8 of 10. Its motion blur tested via windmill test could be rated as 7.5/10. Like any other budget TV, it can’t control motion blur at best. This isn’t a problem as no TV in this budget gives a 120 Hz refresh rate. Don’t keep unrealistic expectations. It performs better as per other normal 4K budget TVs. The HD content was upscaled in a good way. Upscaling of FHD or 1080p content was good and that of 4K content was amazing.

Operating System – Hisense A6H 4K TV 2022

It comes with Android 11 Google OS with 16 GB storage and 7.3 GB usable storage as Android 11 is heavy. In Google OS there are content preference tiles with pre-downloaded major OTT Apps. This is a familiar UI. Other Apps can be downloaded from Google Playstore. It has Miracast and Apple Airplay support. Apple users can cast their iPhone screens.

Audio tests – Hisense A6H 4K TV 2022

Both TVs come with 20W down-firing Dolby atmos speakers. Their audio quality is between average to medium. It is not perfect. A soundbar or home theatre is a must for bigger rooms. Their sound is crisp and clear which is good for dialogue. For a cinematic experience, a soundbar is a must. 

Costs – Hisense A6H 4K TV 2022

Hisense A6H 43 inch costs Rs 30,000. Its 50-inch size costs 34,000 the price of its 55-inch model is Rs 40,000.

Panel Performance of Hisense A6H 4K TV 2022

43-inch and 50-inch have VA panels. 55-inch has an IPS panel. Both panels have their own pros and cons. VA panel gives better blacks than the IPS panel. The IPS panel has good blacks but they are not the best. Colors are amazing in both panels but 43 and 50 inches have more vivid and vibrant colors.

The color profile can be changed by changing picture modes. 43-inch and 50-inch show washed-out colors and brightness from extreme left and right (basic property of VA panel). IPS panel shows amazing colors and brightness even from extreme sides. Brightness and color loss are not more than 15% which is a basic property of any IPS panel.
