Inverter AC is the latest trend due to which nobody recommends non-inverter AC. Are non-inverter AC outdated? Is their power consumption too high? This is what we will discuss in this article.

| Compressor: Non-inverter AC has fixed speed compressors whereas inverter AC has variable speed compressors. Non-inverter AC compressor works on one fixed speed. Work Mechanism: Inverter AC lowers the temperature once and then maintains it. This is variable speed but this plan fails in case of air leakage as the hot air will come inside. The hot air will then adversely affect the cooling inside the room. In case of air leakage, buy non-inverter AC. In case of direct sunlight, or if your room is on the top floor, buy non-inverter AC as all ACs cool the walls first. An inverter AC compressor, in this situation, works on max capacity and thus the inverter benefit is completely lost. It has a single-speed compressor along with 100% inner copper condenser coils. The hydro blue fin technology on the condenser and fins prevents it from sediment & salt and keeps it safe. It comes with dual filtration with a PM 2.5 filter & HD filter. The auto clean tech is good and really helpful.
There are various other useful features which include four different sensors which help maintains the optimum performance of this AC. Carrier 1.5 ton AC comes with Aqua Clear coating on U-Bend. U-bends are made of copper and get damaged easily. The aqua clear coating will prevent it from sediment and salt which will prevent the leakage.

- It is good for rooms up to 185 sq ft. It has all the important features and coatings.
- The best thing is a chemical coating on the condenser, fins and U-Bend.
- It was impossible for us to find any cons. The 2022 model is much improved than its previous models.
SECOND POSITION-
There is a tie between two Japanese companies for the second position.
1. Daikin 1.5 ton 3 star AC – Best Split AC Non-Inverter
The second Japanese AC on number two is- Daikin 1.5 ton 3 star AC with a 1.43-ton actual net capacity. It has a single-speed compressor and 100% inner copper condenser. The PM 2.5 filter is good for air purification. Coanda Airflow throws air at a faster rate on a particular mode (good). Coanda Airflow is successful due to the power airflow dual flap.
All ACs have one flap but this particular AC has two flaps on the indoor unit. When they open, the big blower throws air faster which leads to faster cooling which Daikin has named as Power Chill Operation. Daikin claims cooling even at 50°C. It also comes with self-diagnosis technology.

- It is an amazing AC with fantastic cooling.
- There will be no issues for 160 sq ft or slightly above rooms. Otherwise don’t buy it.
- According to Daikin, it is suitable for 150 sq ft. It has all features including self-diagnosis and Coanda airflow.
- There is no chemical coating on the condenser.
- People living near drains should avoid them.
- Avoid it for rooms bigger than 160 sq ft.
- We think it is slight expensive say Rs 1,000-1,500 extra due to the brand’s premium.
2. Hitachi 1.5 ton 3 star AC- Best Split AC Non-Inverter
First comes Hitachi 1.5 ton 3 star AC (2022) with 1.5-ton actual net capacity. It has a single-speed compressor and 100% inner copper condenser. The wave blade design has improved its airflow. The High-Density filter on the indoor unit provides better air purification. The filter clean indicator will display on the indoor unit if the filter will be dirty. You can then later clean it.
Its anti-bacterial filter is good. Hitachi claims fast cooling even at 50°C. We can agree to it due to its amazing cooling capacity. Its dehumidifier is also good.

- Their installation service is average. It is good for people living in metros or tier 1 towns.

1. Bluestar 1.5 ton 3 star AC- Best Split AC Non-Inverter
No. 3 in my list of best AC in India 2022 is Bluestar 1.5 ton 3 star AC with a 1.45-ton actual net capacity. It has a single-speed compressor and 100% inner copper condenser. The bluefin prevents it from sediment and salt. It comes with a normal dust filter. The self-clean technology is good. A hidden display is given in the indoor unit which will not bother you at night. It has turbo cooling. The self-diagnosis feature will detect the problem and display an error code on the indoor display. This will help you get it repaired soon.

Number four in our list of best AC in India 2022 is Midea 1.5 ton 3 star AC with a 1.47-ton actual net capacity. It has a single-speed compressor and 100% inner copper condenser coil. The hydro blue fin coating is used. Hydro Bluefin technology is a blue chemical coating on fin and condenser to prevent it from sediment and salt. It is a good addition to previous models. It comes with dual filtration with AG Nano and an HD filter that serves as a good air purifier. The auto cleantech means that the AC will clean dust over filters automatically. It has auto-swing, sleep mode & turbo mode (given in almost all non-inverter AC).

1. Lloyd 1.5 ton 3 star AC- Best Split AC Non-Inverter
The Lloyd 1.5 ton 3 star AC comes with a 1.42-ton actual net capacity. This non-inverter AC has a single-speed compressor and 100% inner grooved copper condenser. The bluefin coating is really good. It comes with a two-way swing, a clean air filter and hidden LED light on the indoor unit which can be turned off at night. It has an auto-restart option, dehumidifier and self-diagnosis features.

- It is a good AC.
- Llyod is the Havells sub-brand. It has all modern features including a dehumidifier and self-diagnosis.
- This AC is only good for smaller rooms up to 150 sq ft (due to 1.46-ton capacity).
- The noise levels are high despite low capacity.
- They are not much but it would have been fine if they had been 36-37dB.
