Panel-
Majorly there are 2 types of panels- IPS and VA panels. The IPS panel is good for wider viewing as the colour & brightness loss on extreme sides is negligible. This is not the same in the VA panel. For extreme sides, an IPS panel and for centre viewing, the VA panel is the best. The VA panel has deeper blacks and more vibrant colours in comparison to an IPS panel but both the panels are good in their own places.
Brightness-
We always tell about the peak HDR brightness (300-700 nits). Is it important to note the peak HDR brightness of 32-inch TV for viewing SD channels? Does more brightness mean better colours? Well no! The required SDR brightness is 100 nits only. 125 nits brightness is sufficient to watch SD channels. Don’t fall for the marketing strategies of brands. A cheap TV might show the same picture quality (SD channels) as a 500 nits TV.
Various video formats-
The support of different HDR formats like HDR10 and Dolby Vision needs more brightness. That is why brands give 300 or above brightness to show more colours which helps to enjoy Dolby vision content. But this doesn’t mean you can see 4K content too. You can only see more colours in Dolby Vision and HDR content.
Audio and Picture Quality-
We always say that a TV must be bought for picture quality as audio quality can be externally enhanced but it doesn’t apply to 32-inch as it is a budget category. Good audio is a plus point. In 32-inch, both picture quality and audio quality come on no. 1. This is how we rate & recommend TVs.
What is a future-proof TV?

This feature is important if you have or want to buy a soundbar worth ₹25k. Otherwise, buy a TV as per your usability and save money.
Can a 32-inch TV be a monitor?
Last but not least- a 32-inch TV can’t be made into a computer monitor as it has only a 60Hz refresh rate. But the same price monitor screen can give a refresh rate above 90Hz and up to 144Hz. This is what a computer needs and what we recommend. A 32-inch TV can’t be used as a monitor and we don’t recommend it. The choice is yours.

Picture Quality- its picture quality is perfect for SD channels. The colours pop out. Red & green are over-saturated which is essential if you watch daily soap operas to highlight sarees and jewellery. This is the best in this range. It has all types of connectivity options. Its audio quality is fine. This TV won’t disappoint you. Make sure you protect your TV with an extended warranty.

The next TV we recommend is Mi TV Horizon. They both are the same panels with 175 nits peak brightness. These both have only 1 difference which is in their bezel size. Redmi TV has thick whereas Mi TV Horizon has slim bezels. This doesn’t affect the characters. It just looks better. Branding might be different but their brand is the same- Xiaomi. They both have 20W audio which is good in small rooms. They both come with Android OS 9 with Patchwall skin.
According to us, they are absolutely the same. If you want to watch SD channels and thick bezels are fine, then Redmi TV is good. For slim bezels, Mi TV is your option. Right now Mi TV Horizon costs ₹16000. During sales, it’ll cost approx ₹15500. The choice is yours.

LG LM560 TV – Best 32 inch smart tv in India 2022
The TV which shows good HD, SD, HDR, and HLG (for OTT) content is the LG LM560 TV with an IPS DLED panel & 250 nits peak HDR (due to HDR10 support) brightness. It is not much but it is sufficient for HDR10 content.
Cons- it lacks Bluetooth and it has only 10W audio. This is why it is low in rank. Otherwise, it is good as it comes with an IPS panel (good for viewing from corners). A 2.1 audio system will be good with this TV. Audio quality can be enhanced externally. Adding Bluetooth is not a big deal. It can be made Bluetooth compatible by adding a Bluetooth adapter to its headphone jack.
We recommend it as it is an amazing TV with an IPS panel. It costs ₹18000 right now. During sales, it costs ₹17500. There is not much change in price as this TV is always in demand.

The claimed brightness is 300 nits but in our testing, it was 370 nits (fantastic). Better colours are guaranteed with this brightness and this is what we like the most. It has a VA panel and 39W audio. No external soundbar is required. It is a good-to-go TV except for the android version. It has Android 11 which takes more space. It is the only con.
Free space is only approx 7GB. Otherwise, it is a good TV. According to us, the right price must be ₹17500. Avoid it for ₹19k. Do consider it for ₹18k.

The next pick-in 32-inch TV is a Xerox of Nokia- Motorola ZX2. They have the same panel, same HDR10, same Dolby Vision support & same quality of colours. The major difference is between Android OS 10 & 11. Motorola has Android 10 whereas Nokia has Android 11. It does not create a difference in looks and feasibility. The features, apps, and smart remote are the same. The difference- Nokia has 7 GB of usable storage whereas Motorola ZX2 has approx 11 GB of usable storage. That is why we have kept it above.

It shows amazing colours. We have kept Nokia & Motorola below it despite their more brightness and Dolby Vision support. Brightness isn’t our benchmark to decide the quality of the TV. Everything is about picture quality. We kept Samsung above due to its better panel, better picture quality, and its better LEDs.
It has 20W audio and all types of connectivity options except a headphone jack. It doesn’t have a smart remote. Otherwise, it is a good option to be considered. Right now it should cost ₹18000 which is fair. Its price never reduces. Do get this TV at this price.

You need to increase your budget at it costs ₹30k. It comes with Android OS and has no flaws. The only con we can say is that it is over-prized. But for this picture quality, it isn’t over-priced.
